Open management practices ensure that everyone is on equal footing. A very egalitarian style that brings in multiple perspectives and removes the hierarchical red tape. Lots of freedom for people to innovate and they are rewarded for courage.
Cons
Open can make the environment unsafe if everyone is not respectful and trusting. The egalitarian way of management is offset by a hierarchical decision-making process. Freedom is not balanced with accountability and courage is not balanced by commitment.
