Pros

"Culture" isn't a joke. It's real, and it's great. Lots of great technology to work on.

Cons

Lots of changes in the past couple of years - most not for the better. (quite a few reorgs, layoffs, hiring freezes, etc.) Pay is OK, but not great. (But, benefits are pretty good.) A lot of the changes seem like they are changing the culture (making Red Hat feel like a "corporation".) Starting to "invest" in too many things (telcom, automotive, AI, etc)

Pros

Work/life balance, training program, nice office

Cons

Compensation, always paying new joiners way more than experienced people already in that position

Pros

Red Hat is going through tremendous changes as a company and the people team is constantly changing their operating model. Very chaotic.

Cons

Constant change; people can be rude and hostile and call it “open culture” - it’s totally accepted; the HR leadership team is very insular- most of them have worked together in the past and came over to Red Hat together - they’re definitely the ones who get promoted more.
