Sinking ship

Pros

Free coffee Good team members Good learning opportunities, clients are basically on every environment you can think of If you can actually last you'll probably get promoted

Cons

"Unlimited" PTO, that is being cracked down on, with anything over 40 hours getting flak. Micromanagement. So so much micromanagement. Churn. It's an MSP service desk, of course there's going to be a lot of turnover, however, its very rare to have 5 different CEOs over 5 years, with constant upper leadership changes. Return to office. We were remote from 2020-2024, but leadership (thats probably all gone now) wanted people in office to have chats at the coffee machine Utilization tracking. Expect to be told you're not doing anything constantly, especially as the outsource team takes more tickets and more clients leave Awful communication from management Below average pay C levels with a history of outsourcing and shrinking workforces brought in to do just that, but constantly promised that "nothings going to change" while everything changes. Also has ties to the company that was brought on for outsourcing, but told "he just happened to find them!" Bought by private equity some years back, it seems to be doing the standard PE playbook. Hollow it out, wring it dry, and sell it for whatever you can later, while talking about nothing but growth, to the sole focus of everything else.

Pros

There were some people there I did enjoy being with.

Cons

Everything else. Shady leadership. Was robbed commissions. Deals were stripped after being won and given to reps who did absolutely nothing and did not even own the account. Probably one of the most untrustworthy and all around worst companies I've ever been a part of. Which is too bad because many of the employees were willing to bleed for them.

Pros

- They hire anybody with no prior experience - Encourage to learn and expand skills

Cons

- Benefits are nice, but they make it very difficult to use them - Management are driven by idealism rather than realism - Constant burn out and mental exhaustion - Too many managers with conflicting rules - Constant change in policies - Blame engineers instead of poor management which resulted in misled engineers - Very low compensation compare to market and no opportunity to increase wage - Very high turnover rate, constant new engineers coming in
