Pros

They pay a bit more for SEO

Cons

Toxic culture Long hours Strong talk of culture from C-suite that doesn't carry down. You are at the mercy of your department head. They have a really detailed and fair revie process that is always completely ignored. Your manager will arbitrarily give you a 1-5 based on what they think of you personally.

Pros

Depending on your role, flexible hours and work schedule, a reasonable work/life balanace. Depending on your role, some really kind people at lower levels of the company. I felt like I had a really great team in the content generation department.

Cons

Extremely poor upper-level (particularly C-suite/EVP-and-up) management that's focused on profit margins over people, and is really not open to feedback of any kind (in fact if you provide regular feedback, you'll most likely be fired - I saw it happen about 4 times in a row over the course of 2 years). Compensation for the work is below average as well, benefits package is pretty poor for anyone under the director level.

Very let down and disappointed by this company

Pros

Benefits are pretty good, although being a South Carolina-based company the mental health benefits were twice the cost as my previous employer.

Cons

Senior leadership lacks a clear vision and strategy—this impacted nearly every project, budget, and timeline that we had. Communication was poor and transparency was lacking. They hired on so many people with one goal in mind only to pull budgets and resources a few short months later and go through mass lay offs. They did not prioritize their people and did not live up to their values.
