Pros

-Sometimes they give out free prizes but be prepared to probably not win any of them because of the unattainable goals they set -they have a gym and basketball goals if you ever get a chance to get off the phones to use them -there are some good people that work there that are just stuck in an unfortunate company environment

Cons

please believe me when I say these things because I have been at RV for over 3 years...believe me once I find another job I will be out but because the economy Red Ventures plays this and knows that for every 100 people they fire they will have 1000 new college grads at its door begging for a job -managers constantly breathing down your back while your on a phone sale -managers belittle you in front of other coworkers -commission structure changes every month to make it so you don't make money ex: one month you get 120 sales and make $800 next month you make 150 sales and make $500 -no communication between corporate management and sales floor management which trickles down to the sales floor making it a constant disaster -very high turnover...have seen many employees they hire get fired right before their 90 days are up so that they don't make it far enough to get any benefits -usually when you first start working there you will get some poor hours like 3pm-midnight -no where to move up to...me personally went from a sales rep to a senior sales rep to a master sales rep....these are just titles. you do the same phone sales but get hardly nothing in return of all your hard work -also from what i have seen they have lost a good bit of business to major companies so I cant say the outlook looks that great for Red Ventures -

Pros

there is no dress code occasional free lunch, assuming you want to give up your breaks for it

Cons

-Lack of knowledge of the home insurance industry -comp plan is constantly changing, you never know what your going to make -Quotas are constantly being raised due to bad planning of upper management -your performance is graded on about 50 different metrics -pulled state licensed insurance agents away from insurance to sell TV PACKAGES!! -at least an 80% turnover rate

Pros

Base pay plus commission. Great insurance options! Tons of product training. Plenty of coffee and tea in the break room. Cubicle that can be personalized during the week (pics and junk.) Lots of overtime available.

Cons

Young management, not enough training on how they can more effectively work with a variety of personality types. Very high pressure sales environment with skewed importance placed on selling to specific types of clients. Not enough time during the day for breaks (like using the bathroom. Heaven forbid you have spicy food for lunch, in roll the infractions.) Deductions taken from commissions that change monthly to almost guarantee that your commission check will be smaller than it should be.
