Pros

Like anywhere, some good people there who are genuine and will help. Technology can be interesting. Often freedom given in solutions.

Cons

People thrown under the bus by some colleagues . Management double standards in their R10 values - will say one thing and do another. Long hours without appreciation. Pay for expectations poor. Plenty of cliques. Bad location. Micro management in some areas, although largely autonomy given. HR department will not support you when you go to them in confidence. Not what you know, it's who.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It sounds like the behaviour of some of your colleagues meant you didn’t get to see how great Reece can truly be. On the flip side, it sounds like you did manage to work with some of our good eggs. As you experienced, reecetech is growing and changing rapidly, and we agree that what’s happening in our technology space is pretty interesting. We’d love to get in touch and understand more about your experience, if you want to drop us a line? careers@reece.com.au

A company that promises the world and delivers nothing

Pros

Flexible work arrangements that have continued post-Covid lockdowns. Brand new state-of-the-art head office to work at.

Cons

Nepotism is rife within the business - a culture built on who you know as opposed to what you know often leaving the wrong people being promoted to leadership roles. This isn't even hidden as Reece prides itself on promoting withing as opposed to looking externally for the right candidate. Lack of career development opportunities, in order to continue my role I had to self-teach myself how to use software from YouTube videos as opposed to being sent on a training course. The operations side of the business is incredibly male-dominated. There are 70 Region Leaders of which ONE of them is female. There is a huge problem with gender inequality when bringing women into management roles.

Pros

The stories of how good it once was to work for Reece.

Cons

Manager was out of their depth for position and compensated with bully management style and encourage this same type of management style from leaders. Differences in pay rates is astonishing, same position with 30k difference. Busy recruiting new people with great capabilities but dont know what to do with them once they start. My one and only training opportunity was delivered by a senior leader, who asked you to tell of a work experience that you were proud of, to be told that was not good enough and to think of another... completely humiliating.
