I can't say enough good things about the student worker positions at the Office of Residence Life. The department is very supportive and very open to initiatives. There's a lot of flexibility built into the position so you can pick up and create projects that appeal to your interests. There are opportunities for increased responsibility and wage raises for those who seek them.

Cons

Relative to the rest of campus, the location is a bit out of the way. Like any front desk position, there may be some interaction with disgruntled persons, but this is generally limited to a few brief, key periods during the year and the upper management is usually more than willing to handle these calls.
