Most of the staff is wonderful. The exceptional students remind you why you're there..

Cons

The library upper echelons couldn’t care less about transparency, fairness, morale, or DEI. Non-librarian staff felt dispensable when Covid broke out. Nowhere to go if you have issues with directors. Male librarians get away with making disturbing comments.

Pros

It's Reed College, it's the Paradox. Dig it. It's fun making the drinks and the Stumptown training keeps it so real.

Cons

The shifts are pretty short, only two hours, but it's not really too bad considering it works well around schedules well and allows for more people to work there.

The student culture is not for everyone. There is a lot of grey area and it can be hard initially to figure things out
