Pros

employees make the place. everyone works hard then usually hangs out together. a fun atmosphere. variety of projects to work on.

Cons

very little opportunity for women to advance. management doesn't seem to be on the same page. alot of hours - evenings, weekends....very little work/life balance allowed. I've seen many couples divorce because spouse is never home.

Pros

The lower-level employees are always hardworking, talented people. The atmosphere is casual, and it's a good place for people who are new to the industry to pick up additional experience and learn a wide variety of skills.

Cons

It is currently just chaos. Due to poor management in the light of difficult situations, RFX ended up going through waves of layoffs, leaving only a skeleton crew of middle management in the entertainment department. At one point, they announced a plan to move all staff positions to contracts and that no pay raises would be given to anyone. The studio, including the commercial department, doesn't seem to know what they actually want to be. They chase short-term solutions to pay the bills without a lot of planning for the future. Many of the people who are left are well-meaning and talented, but many are simply there due to having friends in the right places. Management is shady, as well; I even overheard artist management discussing what buzzwords to include in their own Glassdoor reviews in order to boost their ratings here. The most talented people with forethought left a while back, and the folks who stick around are doing it for their families. RFX is currently composed of people who cannot otherwise afford to leave. Uncertainty has brought the worst out in some, creating petty, detrimental office politics. Things may improve over time, but overall I saw only a decline in the years I spent there.
