Pros

From activities, to social services, to admissions, to dietary and housekeeping, there are so many opportunities to learn and grow from being at this facility. Yes, it may be fast paced at times, this adds to the learning. Learned how to get organized and multi task. 80% of the residents and families are awesome. The families offer great support to their loved ones. And the residents are so kind and full of character. All staff in the building works hard to do their part.

Cons

Fast paced. -organization a must It is always easier to look at things one thinks is terrible. This is an excellent facility to work at and gain so many skills and experiences.

Pros

Recent ownership change in early 2016 brought minimal relief Some Individual employees are amazing, and they go out of the way regardless of managements roadblocks to assist.

Cons

Poor top down leadership, Sr Management are 3-4 day a week transplants from out of state that spend more time traveling in and out of Texas then the facilities. Revenue driven healthcare, true patient care does not appear to be top priority unless its cheap Capital financed by hedge fund, employees are expendable as they cut costs across the organization IT Systems are always down in one way or another, this negatively impacts nurses giving patient care in a timely manner Recent changes in IT have made it impossible to get any help desk ticket answered in a timely manner Electronic medical record keeping software is antiquated, and limited in its functionality Work/Life balance is of no concern, Expectations are to work regardless of personal, health, or family issues. Long term employees are expendable being replaced by out of state contractors, and business relationships. Extremely expensive health benefits, and poor selection of plans

Pros

Some people are long time employees there and are nice and helpful. You just have to learn who you can and cannot trust. Some newcomers work hard and want it better. Some of the consultants are helpful while others are degrading and over step boundaries.

Cons

Unrealistic work load and toxic work environment. High turnover. Low pay when you consider what similar places pay.
