Pros

Fantastic benefits Extremely smart colleagues Open to new ideas

Cons

An industry veteran for 20+ years and am left speechless at how middle Management can obscure their lack of knowledge and easily "throw Sr. Mgmt. off their trail" by simply whipping up PowerPoint after PowerPoint, chart after chart to hide the fact that they actually know nothing about what their staff does or the challenges they face. My former Manager, to this day, knows little about the department he leads. What he does know is how to use corporate-speak to assemble and deliver slide decks and graphs. His Manager (VP level) is duly impressed. His staff however (I was one) are left to carry him throughout the day by sharing our knowledge - for which he takes all the credit for. I just have never experienced this in industry before. It's too bad. Just too bad, for a cutting edge company like REGN that truly moves the needle in the biotech space.

Pros

Used to be good 5-10 years ago. Managers were human, scientists tried to develop their direct reports. Better work-life balance. Enough food in parties. You actually used to feel proud of being different from other pharma/biotech.

Cons

When the company started growing, it attracted all sorts of competitive, egotistical sociopaths. Teams don't care about working together. The only collaboration now is humiliating or belittling a common target. Parties are a joke because the lines are long for a piece of food. Reminds me of underfunded college events where you'd wait forever for a cheap stuffed animal. Even worse, some people think they deserve better than others. On ice cream Thursday, this middle manager was loudly complaining about too many people "standing around" the ice cream truck while waiting for his order. Chill bro, it's free ice cream-- I'm sure they pay you enough. Good people left a while ago. Take a look around you, most people were hired recently. The ones left are either desperate (ie me) and the jerk(s) of the OG group.

Pros

Regeneron cares about you as a person. They do everything to retain you. They care about quality more than money.

Cons

If there is a con to Regeneron I haven’t found it.
