Pros

Wow. What a difference at work!!!! Higher morale in IT compared to just a couple of months ago under the former CIO. The interim CIO is an excellent choice. Positivity is back!!!! It is again a great IT department and a great place to work.

Cons

Since we have a change in IT management and the former CIO is gone I can't find anything wrong.

IT is chaos

Pros

Great company overall, great company culture outside of IT.

Cons

IT is a mess and extremely chaotic. Culture in IT is so far off the norm for the rest of the company. This needs to be fixed now. All IT managers that are not in line with the overall company culture need to change drastically or be let go. Len and George should take note of this

Pros

In my work within the IT department in Tarrytown, I've had the pleasure to interact with many outstanding scientists who are truly committed to helping improve people's lives through new therapeutics. I believe that Len and George are leading the company well; their hearts are in the right place. There are perks still offered by Regeneron that other pharmas have phased out long ago. The area of IT in which I work is energetic productive and collaborative, however this is an exception to the rule.

Cons

Although new IT leadership was an immediate improvement over the predecessor, the bar was low. Previous long-standing IT leadership had not grown along with the company and scientists for the most part were left with managing their data using Excel and Powerpoint. To be fair, IT had not been, seemingly, Regeneron's priority: it was, and still is, the science. The new IT leadership may have the credentials to bring IT into the 21st century but not the temperament to operate at Regeneron; there is a cultural mismatch and unrealistic demands of the organization have been made as well as poor decisions regarding system deployment. An initial statement from IT leadership regarding respect for people has not been borne out in practice.
