Pros

The benefits. No copays if you are seen at the hospital clinics or have surgery at the hospital. Prescriptions are free if filled at the hospital pharmacy.

Cons

The executive leadership is very weak. They talk out both sides of their mouth and do seem to want change in the organization, but don't support it when it comes down to it. So much of the staff there have been there for 20+ years, it is hard to facilitate change.

Pros

We care for patients no matter their ability to pay. We have a Level One Trauma Center-the 2nd busiest in the country, a Level One Burn Center, Level One Newborn Critical Care Center, an excellent Women's Hospital with an OB/Gyn department which specializes in high risk pregnancies. In my trauma NP group, our MD supervisors have our backs. We are treated with respect and allowed to use our knowledge in our patient care practice.

Cons

More NP's needed. Trauma NP's coverTrauma ICU/Stepdown Unit 24/7, Trauma ED 24/7, 2 trauma floors and an NP clinic.
