Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed Rehmann's flexible work schedule and were successful in having work / life balance. Compensation is definitely an area that we strive to be competitive in. We have engaged with a highly regarded compensation consulting firm to ensure that we are bench-marking in our industry and key markets as well. Although it can be incredibly frustrating when you feel that management isn't taking action on issues, it's important to remember that there are often conversations happening that you may not be privy too. It is our goal to tackling issues in the workplace that we are aware of. We are hopeful that you shared concerns with leadership either directly or through our firm's feedback tools (upward evaluations, associate surveys, grow plan meetings, etc.) Best wishes to you in your new role.

Depends on your Coach

Pros

They hire based on personality, which results in a company of a lot of great people that are easy to work with (which is important when working lots of hours). There are some really awesome partners/principles that can make your working experience amazing with their coaching and encouragement. Somewhat flexible, but it is really dependent on who your direct supervisor is and what they tolerate.

Cons

Inconsistent coaching. There are some really great principles/managers at this firm that really want to coach you and assist in your growth when you are new, and then there are some that don't want to have anything to do with the new associates and resent having to deal with them if they are forced to. If you get one of the later as a coach, then your growth, reviews and pay will be limited...if you get one of the good ones, they will portray you as a golden child if you are at all competent and you will have good opportunities.

We strive for all of our managers to be skilled and passionate about mentoring our up and coming associates and we have great tools in place with our associate surveys and upward evaluations to share their concerns with our leadership team, but also encourage our associates to take advantage of the opportunity to share their needs/goals personally with their supervisors. We recognize that there are many factors that need to be considered when determining compensation increases and growth opportunities, which is why we have a multi-tiered performance and compensation review process in place that allows for multiple leaders to get involved in making these important decisions, in addition to receiving feedback from those supervisors that an associate may work most closely with on a day-to-day basis.
