Pros

The company is a lot of fun. They give a lot back to the community, which is cool. Work environment is very laid back, the people are all great. The company shuts down between Christmas and New Years, which is nice. That is in addition to our already generous amount of paid time off. Other benefits seem to be above average. Company pays for nice equipment to work on, and has a fairly generous training budget.

Cons

People in product development have a measurable amount of frustration. The company has grown a lot, and the CEO/CTO (same person) thinks the scrappy, short-term problem solving attitude that worked when the company had 20 people is still appropriate when the company has a few hundred employees. There is a no-work-from-home policy: the company requires you take a day of paid time off rather than put in a day of work if you have to stay home for a home repair or a sick child or a delivery or whatever. CEO seems to put more of a premium on quantity of features in the product rather than overall usability of the product.

Pros

Good training programs for new recruits. Classes on time management ad-nauseam but overall good training about the product. New I-pad and Iphone on first day of work is a nice perk too.

Cons

If you are not in the "in" group... you are ostracized... very strange. No wonder there is a revolving door at HR.

Pros

Working with very intelligent people Ability to learn new areas of this business by working with other departments Being able to make a difference Ability to expand your own skill set Continually being challenged to become great at your job Openness to move within the company to other areas of the business Continued open and honest feedback on your progress Recognizing kCura is maturing adding the necessary benefits The list can go on and on if you start adding all the tangible items like ipads, free drinks, monthly lunches, pancake breakfast, etc... I wanted everyone to know what else kCura offers besides these items, so you know you are becoming part of a family and not just another number in a company.

Cons

Not identifying bad seeds faster allowing them to taint the workplace with their negative aura Health Benefits are very good but not great Different options for candy at the front desk would be welcomed Weekly digest is very bland No option to buy discounted software for home use No avenue to inform people in the company if you have leftovers, or if you brought something in for the company to enjoy on a first come basis
