Good Company / Bad CEO

Pros

- Young, youthful offices - Market leader - Growing Industry - Tech Savvy Environment

Cons

Andrew Sieja is by far the biggest Con at Relativity. Andrew is known for throwing constant temper tantrums and punishes anyone who disagrees with him. Especially publicly. He tries very hard to present a 'hip' & 'young' company culture, however, this has created an environment where anyone over the age of 30 needs to worry about being 'too old' to work there. There have been several instances I've witnessed where Andrew let someone extremely valuable go, without any justification. It sure seemed to me that if you are over a certain age, Andrew will look for any excuse to get rid of you in order to keep up the appearance of his 'young' and 'hip' company culture.

Most of Management is Male and Disregards Females If You Want a Promotion, Beware, You Will Be Passed Up for a Man The Work Life Balance is Good, But Having Kids Might Be Held Against You Sexual Harassment is Very Real at Relativity, and HR Doesn't Do Anything About It The Company Doesn't Know Where It's Going Next and This Leads To Confusing Initiatives lead by Confused Leadership

Pros

-Good location -Nice office -Smart employees

Cons

relativity is a toxic workplace with poor management and poor morale. Harassment of all kinds and mistreatment of struggling employees is completely tolerated and is sometimes encouraged.Excessive drinking and partying is also encouraged and then leadership acts confused when lines are crossed and blurred in the office. You wont fit in with the 'culture' if you don't drink. The "Human Resources" team tolerates and ignores most behavior that might be difficult to confront so don't expect anyone to help when you're in trouble. They will do anything they need to to make things look pretty and functional from the outside so most issues are swept under the rug until the employee whos struggling finally resigns. This review will most likely be deleted or posted over shortly after being posted. the software isn't even doing very well anymore- most likelt because the employees are tired and fed up. Do yourself and your mental sanity a favor and stay far away. the free La Croix isn't worth the hassle.
