Pros

- Fast paced and efficient without the backbreaking work that other new space companies often impose on employees - Leadership generally does care and will address employee concerns and communicate clearly (within reason) - Company does actually care about diversity and equity and puts in the effort to try & make everyone feel welcome

Cons

- Long beach buildings are not the nicest physical places to work. Wormhole building is very spread out and very loud, and Portal building has no air conditioning. - Sometimes it feels like I'm the odd man out for being interested in my job outside of work instead of having more diverse hobbies - Middle of the pack compensation for a tech company -- high base pay but nothing else (no stock, 401k, or bonus) - Inconsistent promotions -- under my old manager it felt very unfair, but under my new manager it is much better thankfully. - Very frequent management shakeups, *especially* in the 2022-2023 timeframe. Barely a month went by without some kind of re-org.

Pros

The pay is pretty good although merit raises were laughable. Smart coworkers, challenging work Learning stipend Option to work remotely on some days if needed

Cons

Work is challenging because they don't want to funnel funds into IT so everything is "cowboy style". High turnover paired with depending on one person as an expert on any given things (because again, can't add more people) means things fall completely apart when somebody leaves because nobody was cross trained on any body else's roles. Not as diverse as they claim. I have a hard time believing there are no qualified female candidates for IT or software roles. VERY political. The kind of place where the "little people" can't speak directly to somebody higher up and you have to be extra delicate when explaining things to them or they'll try to go over your heads even if the have a limited understanding of the problem. Higher ups try to use their position to influence other areas where they have no expertise without questioning it.

Pros

Good benefits, Space is cool, 3d printing is cool.

Cons

Disorganized leadership Change in the business model has made it so that the company will not make money for years. IT is a mess with poor leadership. avoid that part of the org They like to pay low because the work the company is doing is cool.
