Pros

There are some good professionals who work for the company and are very dedicated to their patients.

Cons

Bottom line is very important with this company. Management often talks out of both sides of their mouth. They tell staff to blatantly do one thing and then when the customer questions them they change their story and throw the employee under the bus. Please be aware that there is no loyalty. I have seen long term employees be terminated with little to no explanation. Almost all of their RDOs are inexperienced and primarily OTAs and PTAs with little knowledge of Medicare and Therapy regulations. The RDOs who are knowledgable and have experience and who really are able to lead their teams have resigned or been terminated. Reliant use to be a much better company to work for up until 1 to 1 1/2 years ago when leadership changed. It is just not nearly as strong of a company. The loyalty and trust that was once established within this company is no more. Their is a sense of desperation. It is true that there have been multiple pay cuts and the benefits are extremely high but Reliant is not isolated with this situation. This is happening with most contract therapy providers with the given Medicare changes.

Pros

They start you out with a very competitive rate...

Cons

...Then they cut it 8%! Insurance is insanely high. PTO is less than some other companies & difficult to use if another staff member is off the same month. They claim we should never use lack of coverage as an excuse, but management doesn't provide enough staff for adequate coverage. The focus is truly on numbers & not patient care. For example, if your RPI falls below 4.5% you get to have DAILY PPS calls for management to assist you in rectifying the situation, nevermind that half your caseload is bedbound or has dialysis/appts. Same for productivity, which begs the question: How does a nonproductive daily call assist in making me more productive? Staff training is a joke, you better hope your DOR knows what they're doing since the webinar training is merely the VP of Ops reading the powerpoint verbatim over a horrible audio connection. If you happen to be unfortunate enough to work in an AdCare facility, then it's even more unproductive busywork. How many meetings can you have?? How many trees do we kill with all the useless reports we're required to fill out that no one EVER looks at?? I used to laugh AT the movie "Office Space", now I have to laugh WITH the same movie. Did you get the memo about the new face sheet for the TPS reports? So, if you like working more hours than you're paid and not getting any praise, than this is the company for you! Sign up today! Who knows? Perhaps you could be getting my position?

Pros

Absolutely nothing!!!!!!! Wish there was a negative star rating!! They act like they hate therapists which is ironic since they make millions from us lowly therapists working for them.

Cons

This company is in the rehab business for 1 thing only--getting the biggest profits!!!! They do not care anything about their patients or employees!! In reading the last few positive reviews its obvious that the corporate management arranged for those false reviews. Reliant keeps saying they have to cut pay and put long term employees at prn status in order to save the viability of the company. Do you think we are stupid??!! As a therapist with 20+ years of experience I know how things work. I've researched other rehab companies and see that no other companies are as extreme and cut-throat as Reliant regarding how they treat their employees. The management team that I have seen is NOT wonderful--they ARE RUDE AND HATEFUL and out of touch with what goes on in the rehab department. How exactly do you achieve 95% productivity as a team when the DOR has to be 75% productive? The only way that averages out is that the staff therapists are 100%. Should you be billing for skilled treatment when you--the therapist go to the bathroom or walk down the hall alone? Yes according to corporate!
