      Great Opportunities for Self-Motivated Individuals

      Pros

      Reltio is a great place to be for engineers who are willing to go extra mile to learn new stuff and work on the most difficult and exciting problems. It provides a lot of growth opportunities. Some people choose to focus on developing their technology skills, some can choose to have more exposure to business and be closer to customers, it's really your call and management will support and help you in that. Upper management is very approachable, you can easily share your ideas with anyone from C-level including CEO and get some good feedback. Overall compensation is good and benefits package is pretty good too, including 401K, great health, life and disability insurances. Not to mention "true" unlimited vacation policy (unlike some companies which declare it unlimited, but it can't exceed 3 weeks). And the best part - very flexible work from home policy.

      Cons

      Company is relatively small, but with large business footprint, so the pace and pressure are pretty high. Also since the team is so distributed you need to be ready to do meetings either early morning or late night and be efficient in written communication - it's definitely more challenging than when you all collocated

      If you are good at politics you will do just fine. Mental games and politics is the way to go

      It is important to understand the culture before joining as it impacts your career and so you don’t feel let down after joining Poor middle management with deteriorating top management. Work culture has gone bad to worse. Steady turnover of staff. Managers are arrogant, glad I got out in time. You will not find any millennials, that says a lot. Lot of ego stoking and people pleasing. Old school style of management, you forget you are in the Bay Area. Compensation is mediocre compared to startups. Benefits are lack lustre. Unlimited vacation that you do not get to use. Work from home is at manager’s discretion. Brown nosing culture
