Pros

It used to be great, the values were by the book... when values had still not been taken over by the mass investors.

Cons

During the hypergrowth period employees suddenly started to lose their perks and amazing benefits, the team morale is down. Everyone is overworked.

Pros

Remote work and the company managed to hire exceptional people

Cons

If you're not from one of the countries with a predominant number of employees at remote, be prepared to feel like a second-class citizen at Remote. I decided to join Remote back when they used to preach equal opportunities for all of their employees, regardless of what country they were from and the minimum salary for anyone at the company was set at 40k/year prior to the layoffs. I felt gaslit and discriminated at every turn when asking for any sort of remotely similar treatment to my European/North American counterparts. For a company that holds their 'values' so highly and constantly preaches them, transparency being one of them, I think that vagueness is what prevails. The company shouldn't promote mobility to other departments and state they will maintain your salary the same when they're not willing to do that. The sales management team is seriously lacking, and my experience with my manager was subpar. This person consistently talked bad about all members of their team and would make comments so you would feel little to none job security.

Pros

you can work remotely although management do not support you experiencing new places and make it an issue in 1:1's which are mostly berating the people.

Cons

They have zero reality of accurate quota forecasting. The quotas are not communicated clearly and you could be well in to a quarter without knowing what your quota is. Unachievable quotas set as really poor management fail to forecast accurately. People who started at Remote in the first 6 months have managed to secure all the accounts with any revenue so therefore they finish on 300+% Yet new people that the company over hired with, have no chance of achieving the unrealistic quotas set, employees are then threatened they will not have a job if they do not make 300k for the company in a given quarter! Employees are not paid commission accurately and there is no trace of commissions owed as they have no internal system providing this data. The whole sales structure setup is not transparent and extremely vague. An EOR company who are 'expert in payroll 'have screwed up even their own employees base pay & the company withhold's commissions due. They are all fluff and marketing yet as a startup have absolutely no regard for the humans they over hired. The company announced over Slack that they were letting 10% of the workforce go. Peoples access was shut down instantly. Cut throat company. Cowboy operation. Pricing internally is also extremely vague, employee's do not even know the right pricing. Management haven't a clue, its laughable! Overcharge clients and Underpay Employee's. You can see on people's LinkedIn that not many last long at Remote. The company is corruption at its finest in how they dispose of people. Poached employees from LinkedIn, Salesforce and all top tech and disposed of them within the first 6 months. Remote should be disposed of in the same manner. There is zero culture, empathy, kindness or ethical business practice.
