Growing means changes

Pros

Pay Awesome clients Good PTO, and benefits Being a part of a newer (2020) growing company, means change is inevitable. If you are able to take change on and stay open minded this is a great place to be.

Cons

Staffing coverage can be stressful for PTO of call offs.

Pros

Coworkers build strong bonds due to shared struggle Patients aren’t dying on my shift

Cons

Chronic understaffing: Each location runs on just two employees, expected to manage the workload of an entire team. Unsafe scheduling practices: Double bookings are the norm. Even with a full schedule, we are required to provide same-day services for new clients. Unrealistic expectations set by upper management what is considered “busy” to warrant getting a second laser and another RN to perform treatments. No regard for breaks or work-life balance: Breaks are routinely missed or cut short. Overtime is expected. Minimal support from upper management: Concerns are dismissed or deflected. Speaking up leads to gaslighting, with leadership claiming “this is what we asked for.” Toxic culture and profit over care: Protocols change on a weekly basis - something is always new and it’s exhausting to try and keep up. Disorganized company claiming to still be a start up - but they have been around for years. Clinical protocols change constantly, often raising questions about whether client well-being is being sacrificed for revenue. Management encourages being deceitful to clients, not giving them all their options - especially when it comes to financing because they think it will confuse them and they may need time to think about purchasing (aka potentially losing a sale) - and would rather trap clients into packages with no option to refund. They don’t care about their employees, nor their clients. They only care about money, but love to preach a narrative about being “people first” and that we are “changing lives”. Broken promises: Raises are dangled but rarely delivered. Pay remains low despite increased responsibilities and cost of living. High turnover and low morale: Staff leave frequently, and those who remain are exhausted and demoralized.
