Not Promising At All

Pros

- Good people, all very nice and easy to work with. - Ok work life balance.

Cons

- Bad leadership. The upper management doesn't really have a clue of how to fulfill the company vision. - The Fremont office is very small and boring. - They need to do a better job at hiring good managers. During the time I worked there, I feel 80% of the managers don't really care about their direct reports. - The pay was pretty low compared to other tech companies in the Bay Area

Pros

Friendly staff environment, free coffee.

Cons

New-hire received no position training, outline of responsibilities ... problematic issues dumped on me from week one with no assistance of how to solve. Little to no system training with attitude of its not my responsibility. No instruction on working hierarchy: how job affects others; who reports to whom; how to elevate issues or who will even help. Staff are quick to demand completion of work: hurry up and wait attitude is prevalent at all levels here. Unrealistic expectations as to what someone can accomplish in a day.

Pros

Lot's of sales experience on-staff. Nice to have support from team members while trying to weave through a maze of policies and procedures. The products really can and will change education as we know it today!

Cons

Upper management doesn't listen to the front line staff. Lots of theories about what will work best but no real world experience which is exactly why they should listen to their front line people! No clear line of sight to other opportunities in the company. They hire from the outside instead of developing from within.
