No model for career advancement

Pros

The benefits are good and little perks occasionally are great (chair massages for employees periodically)

Cons

None of the pros outweigh the fact that they are not paying people what they deserve. From what I can tell the wage offered upon hire is not taking experience into account. There is no clear model for what is expected to move up within the company. The responsibilities may increase but there isn't a monetary compensation to match it.

Struggle to produce good work with the limitations imposed by the system.

Pros

The company always pays wages on time. Paid time off is excellent. Retirement matching is very good.

Cons

Though the management tries to balance the workload they are rarely successful. The tools developed for our professional use are inadequate and wasteful. Micro-management is often difficult to deal with. Opportunities are few and far between, especially when the advancement positions are eliminated. Recent career advancement strategies offer no improvement, just a relabel.

Pros

Good benefits, good vacation/sick policy, good work/life balance

Cons

The company no longer lives by the mission statement. Profits are now more important than people. Middle management treats employees poorly and disposable. Lack of support when reaching out to HR. Customers come second to profits.
