Pros

Small bank with laidback policies. They are very good about being relaxed with everyday banking procedures. There are some some phenomenal people who work there! Great people, who are excellent at their job. I built great working relationships with those great people.

Cons

Their technology is super old (like over 20 years old). You have to learn so many different software systems to do everyday work. Most banks you are using one or two systems, Renasant it is like almost a dozen software systems, and they are all very old. It is banking software from the late 90’s and early 2000’s, it is ancient. Their buildings are cheap, falling apart, & some smell. They send you everywhere to different branches with little or no heads up. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING! Your boss will tell you one thing, his/her boss will tell you something else. Their boss (headquarters) will tell you something completely different. They promise big things during the interview process, and it is all a bill of goods. PAY AND VACATION IS VERY POOR. Every other bank will pay more and give more vacation time, even if you have been banking for well over a decade or a new hire. The pay is lousy at Renasant. THEIR BENEFITS AND INSURANCE ARE NOT GOOD. You pay more for their insurance, and it is substantial less coverage. It cost so much more. They will have an extreme uproar if your time sheet has 4 minutes of overtime. Everyone (all your bosses) will come at you over something so incredibly small. They don’t care about you, but they do care about one single minute of overtime. “We don’t budget for overtime.” That’s the lousy and super cheap/crappy excuse they give. Again, they don’t care about you as much as that time sheet. There is a reason, why they are still a smaller bank at the regional level, while others are growing substantially more.
