Pros

Good learning experience. Paid for most of education while going to nursing school. Did require 3 yr commitment. But walking away from nursing school with 1300 dollars in loans was worth it. Salary is now competitive after union has started. Good people, caring and easy to work with. especially as a new nurse. Scheduling was easy, 3 weekend day requirement.

Cons

Staffing ratios are not very good. Difficult to move up in career. Static work environment. Physically difficult job, very little help as a nurse. No tech support.

Pros

Great people to work with. The hours are good and the company is good with giving you the time you need to keep your family life intact. Decent cafeteria compared to other hospitals. Lots of long term employees.

Cons

There is not much opportunity to move up. It is seems stuck in a rut, nothing changes and very hard to get anything to change for the better.
