Pros

On paper unlimited time off. Large public company with a long history. Ok health benefits.

Cons

There is a concerning lack of sound direction and vision from leadership. The company seems to be stuck between claiming to be innovative and simply pushing old Honeywell products through distributor and contractor networks. Instead of truly innovating, the company relies on the laurels of Honeywell and First Alert brand recognition. Market research shows that consumer perception of "Honeywell Home" is an outdated brand associated with old technology, and it's baffling that the company would want to perpetuate this association. Marketing decisions are made to please internal stakeholders rather than improving the company's image with actual customers and consumers. Lower-level employee concerns are ignored, and employees are told to "go ugly, early" or to "lean in and learn fast" without questioning these so-called strategies, as they are chastised for being difficult or unhelpful. Employees are often asked to do something "because X executive wants it this way, please," instead of following industry best practices and principles. Work is subject to the whims of directors and executives, rather than following industry best practices for end-user customer experience. There is a persistent pattern in Marcom of putting out fires without prioritizing effectively, despite feedback and solutions provided to managers and senior directors for over a year. This has negatively impacted the work and team, with highly reactive projects continually getting in the way of proper strategic planning, design, and brand building. In this environment, a senior director complained to their entire team that they receive 500 emails a day, but they do not delegate responsibilities or empower their team to make decisions. It's even worse that leadership tolerates and exemplifies this behavior by not promoting true teamwork and instead leading with a dictatorial approach. Furthermore, the lack of resources is concerning. Positions that have been empty for over a year cannot be backfilled. Projects that should be well-planned and worked on for weeks are suddenly pushed to completion within days or even hours, and sometimes abandoned abruptly after completion. Deadlines are given without regard for sustainable workloads, and launches are made with minimal planning. Managers send emails late into the evening and through the weekend. Executive leadership pressures employees to work in person under the guise of "collaboration," despite outdated facilities, empty desks, and poor management practices hindering productivity. The facilities in the GV office are embarrassingly outdated and lack accessible wireless video conferencing setups. The organizational environment is siloed, where one hand doesn't talk to the other. Resideo claims to be an innovative company on the cutting edge of technology and change, but it's clear that it is not.

Pros

You get fresh popcorn daily.. Benefits on day 1 401k Get to see all the cool electronics! Plus discounts

Cons

Work life balance as a manager you have to work 12 plus hours for your branch to do well. Not enough staff support. Most branches is ran with Skelton staff 1 manager 3 sales and 1 warehouse employees tops. No guidance to help you grow to next level. They take commission away if you miss your targets. They want you to push in-house brand over other vendors. Pay is not even close to what cost of living in the area I am at. Glassdoor says I’m underpaid compared to the current market.
