Incapable of "Walking the Talk"

Pros

I wish I had something positive to say about my experience working at Resilie, I dont. The work culture is toxic and has white supremist tendencies.

Cons

Resilia did not deliver on what they promised in the interview process. My experience working there was abusive and toxic. The CEO was not involved in the day to day and that resulted in the lack of transfer of her values to the employees. Something that was overly sold during the interview process and to clients as they talk about "advancing equtity for all" but in reality thats not the case. Honestly regret ever accepting a role at the organization. My honest advice is find an employer that would value you and run far away from this profit driven and values lacking company.

No/Lack Of Upward Mobility

Pros

- inspiring CEO - 'tech for good' mission and roots - startup, fast-paced environment

Cons

- After finalizing series B, the company shifted its focus from being user-centric and people-driven to being solely driven by ARR. Unfortunately, this shift has had a negative impact on the company culture as it prioritizes outcomes and numbers above all else, leading to increased pressure and decreased focus on the mission and employees. - Leadership is disorganized and slow to provide feedback and career opportunities until it's time for performance reviews. This lack of upward mobility can be frustrating and demotivating for employees. I suggest prioritize creating clear career paths and opportunities for growth, and empowering our employees to reach their full potential. - There is a poor leadership environment where employees feel inadequate and unsure of their worth and work style. This goes against the company's mission of fostering autonomy and passion in employees. I suggest creating a culture of respect and support, where you can build a stronger team that feels empowered and valued.

Pros

I am a POC and this is the first company I have worked with that actually puts DEI first. I’ve been promoted & love to see new mgmt hired are POC with experience in grass root orgs. Fully remote. Leadership holds skips so I get to share feedback on a regular basis. Love the yearly king cake. its clear the team cares about the work. Team is growing fast so plenty of options for individual growth. My manager is supportive but doesn’t micromanage. They do hold me accountable to a work life balance. Yearly retreats (was just in Texas and before that New Orleans).

Cons

It’s start up so you gotta put in the work but I have found it rewarding. They have 2 offices in New Orleans and New York (I don’t live in either) which could be a turn off to some but it doesn’t bother me
