      Pros

      I honestly cannot say enough good things about working at ResMed Halifax. The flexible work hours, benefits (100% paid medical benefits), vacation, compensation and overall work environment make ResMed the #1 employer in Atlantic Canada. My overall experience with ResMed is that from day 1, I was brought in and mentored as part of a team and made to feel welcomed and valued. I have lots of check ins with my manager where she provides great feedback and I am made to feel that I am guiding my own ship and career at Resmed. There are plenty opportunities for growth here in the Halifax office. It is unlike any other job I have ever had, it 's a place where you feel motivated to find solutions for clients in a collaborative and supportive environment. Along with a great place to work you'll find free coffee, snacks, ping pong table, cell phone with unlimited Canada wide long distance, monthly activities such free breakfast, Sangria showdown, French Cafe, Chili cook offs just to name a few.

      * Many lovely people across the organisation. * Top management has a strong, visionary strategy that largely makes sense. * Meaningful and growing industry focused on medical devices and the patient care ecosystem. * Nice Dublin office with a welcoming atmosphere, supported by a kind and helpful office manager. * Initially seemed like a dream job.

      Cons

      *Unfortunately, actual practices can differ significantly from the company’s declared values. *Middle management often lacks both vision and respect for their teams, creating a noticeable gap between the direction set by top leadership and the ability to execute it effectively. As a result, teams can become overwhelmed and operate in constant survival mode. *Employees may feel discouraged from taking initiative. There is a strong culture of collectivism combined with blurred responsibilities, where mediocrity is often rewarded while self-starters are penalized. *Work-life balance also suffers due to poor management practices and the absence of effective processes for collaboration across multiple time zones. On top of that, employees are subject to time tracking.
