Pros

Great culture with a diverse group of friendly, intelligent proactive professionals. Pay is good and amazing benefits.

Cons

In the past few years the focus has gone from quality to quantity in the customer service area. For many years ResMed set a high standard for quality excellence and do to changes made by the new VP whose background is in sales, there's been a fast decline in the morale in the department.

Best company I've ever worked for

Pros

If you are motivated to do big things ResMed will nurture you and won't get in your way. Company has a great culture...good benefits, PTO, cafeteria, gym. It's a fun place to work with nice happy hours, x-mas party, etc. People there seem much happier than other companies in San Diego (and I've worked at a couple of the biggest). The products are the best in the industry and help save lives.

Cons

There are a few newer VPs in the San Diego building as of the last couple of years...they have bigger egos than others had in the past. As a result I've recently seen a few people cut down in meetings. Overall though, most of management is very good. The disparity of work that people complete is disheartening. Some people work 12 hour days and eat at their desks, while others bs about sports all day, take long lunches and work out at the gym every day for hours...and then get promoted.

No work life balance, no training, no room for growth

Pros

Beautiful facilty in Kearney Mesa, excellent benefits, and a nice parking garage. Sleep apnea can be a serious health condition, it was fulfilling to know you might be helping someone.

Cons

No work/life balance, expected to work 10-12 hour days. Management act like drill sergeants, demeaning and belittling the staff. Very unprofessional: men making obscene gestures, oogling the women and acting like 12 year olds. HR tends to have 'deer in headlights' look when you ask a question.
