Pros

No one ever gets laid off, the company is growing and expanding

Cons

The company is very short sighted in terms of all aspects of how it is ran. Management uses lots of short term solutions to fix long term problems. Nepotism and sycophants seem to rampant here.

Pros

The job as receiving clerk can be stressful but also rewarding and as an organizer it definitely fills that need to keep things that way.

Cons

They hire anyone and do not have a standard training program of any sort which makes it extremely hard to know your progress in the job you are in. Everyone is extremely critical of each other and there is no cohesiveness whatsoever.

Pros

To the negative reviewers on here: you have to mitigate your expectations. This is retail. Long hours and lower pay are to be expected. That being said, the salary and bonus structure here for warehouse management are commensurate with the industry and this company actually offers a work-life balance not found elsewhere. Most warehouses close for business by 6pm and employees are gone by 7pm, I only work every other weekend, I get six paid holidays a year, and salaried management gets an extra day's pay when working more than 6 hours on a 6th day. Expectations are high, but if you can't handle always being blamed then maybe retail operations isn't for you.

Cons

Overly bureaucratic and operationally focused. Plenty of emphasis on merchandising and customer experience, but it's all lip service; management isn't given the time or resources to truly focus on building business and customer relationships. I waste my time worrying about who didn't punch out for lunch instead of talking to customers and growing sales. Every part of the business is micromanaged by executives who are afraid of questioning the status quo and saying "no" to their suoerior, leading me to feel like I don't have the authority to make decisions that make sense for my warehouse and my customers. There is a deep rooted "yes-man" culture here that extends all the way to the tippy top and makes catalyzing change all but impossible. There is no succession planning here. We promote from within, but do not attract or retain enough front line talent to keep the bullpen ready for the next resignation or termination at the warehouse management level.
