Pros

Training: Revature offers an unpaid pre-employment training program, and begins employment with a ~6 weeks paid (min-wage) training program. While the pay during this period isn't great, the material and the trainers are.

Cons

The communication at Revature - between teams, with associates, and especially concerning timelines - was abysmal. I was, on multiple occasions, given timeline expectations for hiring, client interviews, etc. that led to financial and employment decisions, only for the expected timeline to take weeks or months longer than initially communicated. The staging period, following training but prior to client placement, is where the communication seems weakest, especially as it pertains to expectations for the associate. The extent of our responsibilities during this time was attending meetings with unclear agendas that were often assigned or cancelled on last minute notice, waiting for client interviews we were constantly told were coming, only to later be released from employment with no notice due to "lack of client demand" some of us without ever receiving a proper interview with a client through Revature.
