Okay Job but know the catches

Pros

If you're having trouble getting off the ground this can be a decent way of doing that. Our Trainer was personable and knowledgeable, and I made some good friends along the way.

Cons

Lack of agency in your future, might get stuck doing Tech Support for some time. During training our housing was pretty disgusting, but that is location dependent. Also be aware that at the 1 year mark your automatic raise will mean you, as a Computer Programmer, will be exempt from making any time and a half on overtime. They can technically work you as much as they want, pay you the regular rate, and fire you if you refuse so keep that in mind.

Does what they say it does

Pros

Consistent 9-5 schedule, friendly people, informative, free food for special occasions, nice apartment provided, clear goals set, work keeps you busy during the day without eating up much of any free time (assuming you know what you're doing).

Cons

Some people don't perform up to the required standards and get dropped (you don't owe the 20k or whatever if you get dropped). The rest of us aren't really told what happened so you can just show up and see 3 people gone and nobody talks about it. Sometimes it makes sense why the person got dropped (e.g. "Wow literally no part of their project presentation worked"), but other times someone get's dropped and you have no idea why.

Worthwhile goal, unenjoyable journey

Pros

The company offers secured employment.

Cons

The company believes that projecting an empty pseudomasculinity is "confidence". Trainees are just cogs in a machine, modern day factory workers for the prospective clients.
