      Hands on industry relevant training, with a dedicated marketing team to place you on a client project.

      Cons

      Can be difficult to track down information, especially during the hiring process they're not so much tight lipped as forgetful and preoccupied

      Flexible Schedule with a Positive Work Environment

      Cons

      ■ My situation isn't typical. I was hired as an internal employee to work on Revature products. This is distinct from the usual engineer experience at Revature. Engineers typically have to cater to Revature's clients, who sometimes require you to move with 1 or 2 weeks notice and that act as gatekeepers to your full Revature pay.

      There are a great number of software technologies to learn in a short time

      Pros

      There are a great number of software technologies to learn in a short time. I majored in Computer Science (Software Engineer in other place) in college and it was assumed students did not have any prior programming experience. My college CS program started from the very bottom and laid down the fundamentals of programming that are applicable to almost any programming language. With these as the foundation learning new technologies that Revature taught was not difficult. Lots of resources are provided for advancing ones learning. Interview and resume preparation was a big help. The training itself is a hands-on/ try-it-out type. You listen to some theory, shown an example but most of the time it's trying things out for oneself. This learning style works for me. Overall it was a great experience.

      Cons

      There are a great number of software technologies to learn in a short time. At times it can feel overwhelming, especially for people that have other responsibilities outside of work. The training is fast paced and should be taken seriously. If you are someone looking to slack off and think it will be walk in the park, don't bother coming to Revature (granted for SOME this will be an easy training). (Lack of reclining chairs in the office is a disappointment)

We agree that our program is very demanding and teaches you the latest technologies. As you said, our program is not for everyone, only those that are willing to work hard and apply themselves will become a Revature software engineer. Also, we will forward your comment about reclining chairs to our facilities team so they can be aware of it as we order new furniture.
