Pros

They will get you a job

Cons

It won't be an enjoyable experience being processed like a slaughter plant from batch A to B in a dehumanizing manner. Not to mention the pay is low, their practices are exploitative and they have faced legal actions for their questionable contracts that you have to commit to for 2 years. Their 2 year agreement with a violation of what? 30k now? is not worth it when you receive less than 3 months worth of training to be a "developer with 2 years worth of experience" It's a hoax.

Pros

I knew nothing about programming when I started. Revature put me in a training bootcamp for 10 weeks and now I have a solid foundation of full stack and test automation engineering. They paid me to learn all this. I did not have to go back to school to pay thousands of dollars to get a degree in programming. This is an excellent opportunity for people who are trying but failing to break into the technology sector. If you feel like this might be a scam, I guarantee it is not and doing research on Revature will make you come to the conclusion that it is a great way of learning how to code. Even though the training was a bit overwhelming at times, the trainers never made me feel like they would give up on me.

Cons

You must be very flexible because: - you are in a contract for two years. - you do not get to choose the technology stack you are trained on. - you earn minimum wage until you pass one of their client interviews, which could be anywhere between 10 weeks to 4 months (or so I've heard during my training). - you are likely to be required to relocate depending on the client's needs. - although it is not forced on you, it is highly recommended that you take at least two hours outside of work hours each day to study and/or do project work.

Pros

You can start with no experience or knowledge in programming. But by the end of the training, you'll see that you've quickly gained those things that you may have been lacking in. After training, Revature pairs you with a business that is in need of software developers to help you quickly gain experience as a software developer.

Cons

- There's a two-year contract that starts after you get paired with a client to ensure that you stay with Revature. However, it's meant to ensure that you get at least two years of experience. - You are required to move if your client requires it. - Training is definitely tough, you will need to focus on the training to succeed, often by putting in work outside of the work hours. - During training, you're paid minimum wage. However, Revature offers many benefits during training and a lot after you start working with a client, to offset that minimum wage period.
