Pros

Revature is a great way to start your career especially if you have little to no software experience and are interested in working in the field. The technologies you learn in the training are very useful and will greatly help you get your foot in the door to many companies. The experience you receive through Revature is comparable to getting a masters in that it will take a couple years and you will learn a lot, but at Revature you are getting actual work experience and are being paid to learn.

Cons

Be expected to work several hours most nights after work and on weekends completing project work. The training is very rigorous, but in the end you will have valuable knowledge that many clients seek. Also, expect to be paid minimum wage during the training for a couple months, but you will make significantly more once you get placed with a client. You also have to agree to stay with Revature for 2 years and be willing to relocate, but the experience that you get in this time is invaluable and you will be able to work almost anywhere you want after that and start making 6 figure salaries.

It's not easy, but it's worth it - especially for starting a career

Pros

The training here is very intensive and fast paced and you DO learn a lot over the time here. You don't necessarily have to have a programming/computer science degree - I'm a business major that's done coding in the past and I got through. Expect to hit the ground running and you're likely going to have to be doing work outside of the normal working hours. If you have no experience or you're fresh out of college/changing careers, this is a great place. They will stick with you to make sure you get a job, and also that you can get experience so that by the time your contract is over you should be able to move your career in any direction you want.

Cons

You will likely have to work outside of office hours to be able to get your work completed, especially during the project. It will not be easy, and the pace is very fast. Also, there is a two year contract, though you don't have to sign it immediately if you're still not sure. You have 10 days before you have to sign, though. Also, training pay is at minimum wage, but your living expenses and food are readily covered by this if you stay at the provided housing.
