Come for the placement, not the training
Pros
-Almost guaranteed contract-to-hire role at a fortune 500 company (90% of employees end up converting to full time at a big name company) -Train in currently used software with curriculum designed around current hiring needs(we learned Java, Spring boot, Node.js, Azure services, & React) -Paid training & up to $1000 for relocation -Your training batch is a good place to start networking for the future -They are aggressive with placement, since Revature only makes money once you are placed on a client project. They will give you tons of real interview opportunities as soon as you are done with training
Cons
-Low paid. You get barely more than your state's minimum wage($8/hr in GA) during training, and only 45k(55k in high CoL areas) after that. Good pay is basically only after you convert to full time at your contract site. -Training efficacy is highly dependent on which trainer you get, and if they click with you -20k clawback if you leave early
