Pros

Could potentially set you up well and teach you a lot

Cons

The pay is not great and they are not transparent or supportive of employees. There is the constant chance that they just randomly let people go or furlough them. Do NOT do this if you are not prepared to not get paid much and aren't able to just move or randomly not have access to income

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear you do not view Revature as a more favorable experience. We would be interested to know more regarding transparency as we have made many communication changes in an effort to increase transparency which have been received positively. Unfortunately, the pandemic has affected us, as it has every other business, and there was a slow down in operations. If you would like to share more, you may reach to ceo-feedback@revature.com.

Pros

- Very helpful and knowledgeable instructors - Mutual Release (instead of owing them the fee for not passing) is very readily given - Paid training - Included housing during training - HR is responsive

Cons

- VERY fast paced - Low passing standards (many people 'passed' without understanding the majority of the material) - Did not get me a job (Only 1 person in 50 was placed) - No certifications included, not even a Revature endorsement for passing the course - If you are doing well, you are tasked with teaching other students

Hi and thanks for your review. We are pleased to read that you had some favorable experiences while in our training program but we are sorry to see that you did not feel that it was a more positive experience for you overall. The pandemic did indeed impact our client partners just as it has impacted the rest of the economy. With that said, we are happy to have been able to place the majority of our associates on client projects since the pandemic began. We are also proud to have been able to provide you with valuable paid training. This way, due to these unforeseen economic struggles, at least we can equip you with the knowledge that will provide you with a big advantage, when searching for employment, and all at no financial cost for the training. We certainly wish you all the best in your career.

Pros

It is easy to get into the program if you know the basics of Java; They pay minimum wage for being trained (as opposed to nothing); The skills you gain look good on a resume because they are used in the industry; You are practically guaranteed to get a job if you make it through training (because Revature wants to make their money back); The pay that you get once you are at a client is decent.

Cons

The training may be difficult for some; You will have to work in the evenings, i.e., after hours, to finish the projects; There is a contract fee that you would have to pay if you cheat or refuse to work (not if you are dropped from the program); You will have to move to the training location and then move again to the client location.
