Pros

Solid benefits package. Bozeman is a great place to call home

Cons

Eric Nyman and his little sidekick Jordan Judd are destroyers of brands and culture. Pay is a joke in a HCOL area.

Pros

Coworkers are very decent people who were passionate until that was extinguished. I feel for each of them.

Cons

Simply said, DO NOT WORK AT REVELYST. A few things to consider on why this place is dysfunctional, unhealthy, and unsustainable: *The CEO fixates on the "Revelyst" name becoming a standalone brand. No serious person (customers, employees, retailers) wants this or believes in it. All Brands under the Revelyst umbrella like Simms, etc., have lost their culture, individuality, and much of the equity they built over years/decades. You’ll be confronted by this irrevocable brand damage done for a quixotic, farfetched outcome sold to investors, then tasked to buy in and carry things further into the ditch. * The Finance department and CFO holds far too much control and reaches into every part of the business with a blind adherence to short-term thinking. That means hitting the current quarter, consequences even a week later be damned. You will consistently need to clean up self-inflicted damage with the outside world and own every decision made to chase a reporting number rather than a strategic business outcome. *There is a massive amount of distrust between employees and the company. This is largely due to constantly shifting goals and processes, but most importantly, untrustworthy employment security. Layoffs are leveraged as a regular tool to exploit for reporting gain and when they do come, the severance this organization offers is awful (far below industry peer standards). Be prepared to be overworked, undersupported, misled, then pushed aside at whim with little to no net on your way out. It’s generally despicable. Each Revelyst outdoor brand is worse today than it was before the Amer regime came in, and it didn't have to be that way. Worth knowing: some of those Amer folks have already left within a year despite being buddy-buddy with the current President… that’s how bad it is. I do not understand the few 4 and 5-star company ratings I see on other reviews; honestly, most seem suspicious. If you still choose to step into this organization, know what you’re in for and please have a sound exit strategy.
