Pros

The people you work with are all pretty switched on and motivated to do well. You will learn a lot from those around you

Cons

Deadlines are set outside of your team by senior management who lack understanding of how long things actually take. Nobody will push back on these unrealistic, stress inducing deadlines as they fear losing their job The company culture is to fire those who do not meet the crazy demands so people work unhealthy hours and ultimately burnout whilst others have their slack accounts deactivated around you

We’re sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your experience with us more. We appreciate that the Revolut culture isn’t right for everyone, as we’re ambitious and we work hard and sometimes demand a lot from people. Nonetheless we work hard to support people and to ensure that our hiring process are up to scratch, so that every Revolut hire is right for the long term. We wish you well in your future career.

Pros

People are passionate, intelligent, hard working, creative

Cons

Executive Leadership does not value those people, initiatives are put in place to improve employee engagement that are buried by the behaviour of a select few 'original' execs. Nik controls EVERYTHING - especially items he has no knowledge or expertise in. He consistently undermines senior people's experience, insisting things are done in his way. He sulks when things are not done how he wants them. Excluding people when it suits him, it's like a school bully at times. The company is built around yes men that all think and act in the same way...and are all men. For a company that prides itself on innovation this is extremely ironic. Alan is the same, ignores decisions made and tries to control everything for it to be done how he wants (without fully appreciating the impact and consistently undermining hard work done) Women are ignored, with men who fit Nik's view on what an A-Player is (Male, STEM degree, consulting background) are given preferential treatment, whereas the females have to consistently fight for everything they have - despite extensive experience and proven track record. People seem to genuinely be working really hard to improve engagement, but this will not happen while Nik and his right hand men continue to behave how they do.

We’re sorry to hear that you are not enjoying your Revolut experience. We agree and we’re proud that our people are passionate, intelligent, hard working and creative (and they make amazing products). Like you, we love our honest, direct, delivery focused culture and we work hard, as part of that, to support and recognise all our employees. We appreciate that Revolut might not be the best fit for everyone but we hope that it works out better for you in future.
