Pros

Revolut pay the high end of UK salaries, although globally, salaries are not at all competitive A good number of holidays but you will never get to use it given the coercive culture to work on holidays

Cons

Lack of trust from management, if things are blocked / going slowly, you are not asked why or how systems can be improved, you are instead simply forced to go faster or push others to work harder at the expense of their health. Micromanagement rules everything around here. Revolut style of management will remind you of Office Space or The Office, it is that cartoonish (you have to see it to believe it), except this is your real career you are dealing with and it is not really funny. For a tech startup, the product/ops manager to designer/engineer ratio is extremely high, every layer creating the illusion of getting things done (for performance reasons), but the true blockers lie further downstream that managers are either blind to or find it difficult to resolve as it is frowned upon not to "show progress" every week.

Pros

Working from home, nothing else

Cons

Beneath Revolut's shiny exterior and misleading propaganda lies a darker reality – an exploitative culture that dehumanises employees by treating people like robots, just cogs in a profit-driven machine that relentlessly pursuits growth and profit at the expense of employee's wellbeing and ethics. Recruiters won't tell you about the company's toxic work environment, characterised by long hours, unrealistic targets, and relentless pressure to meet aggressive goals without any kind of support....because they are under pressure to meet their own targets. Employees are expected to work around the clock, sacrificing their personal lives for the sake of the company's bottom line. This culture of overwork not only leads to burnout but unsurprisingly short lived tenure. It's rare to come across anyone who's been there more than 2 years and that's because Revolut management sees employees as expendable resources rather than valued individuals. People are fired if falling short of the target for just a quarter and in violation of essential legal rights, let alone human decency. As workers we must demand better from companies like Revolut, holding them accountable for their unethical practices and advocating for a more humane approach to business, don't fall into the trap.

Hi! Thank you for your review! While we’re sorry to hear about your negative experience, we’d like to address the concerns you’ve raised regarding the work environment and culture. While we have a fast-paced and ambitious environment, we also prioritise the wellbeing of our employees. At Revolut, we strive to foster an inclusive and supportive work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and able to thrive. We have numerous programs in place to promote employee wellbeing and development. We believe that clear performance expectations help us all focus on the same goals, and direct support where it's needed. KPIs are discussed and agreed between line managers and employees, to make sure we’re all aligned. When setting these goals, we’re driven by our values — Never Settle, Get it Done, and Deliver WOW. If we hadn't remained true to these values over the past seven years, we wouldn't be able to call ourselves a global financial superapp today. We appreciate your feedback, and wish you all the best!

Pros

. Pays well . Good for the resume

Cons

. Almost everyone is afraid of upper management, specially the CEO . CEO micromanages everything, including areas he doesn't understand and does not have enough time to understand . Articles on wired and other new sources are true
