Pros

Working from Home. That is it.

Cons

Just an utterly soulless, ruthless, rudderless mess. No support, nothing works, some great people and some woeful management. And nothing will ever change. Nothing sums it up more than review after review saying the same thing and some HR drone, who won't be working there in a month, responding 'this does not align with our values etc. etc.' and completely ignore it. I bitterly regret ignoring colleagues who warned me about how dreadful a place it is to work. The fish rots from the head. AVOID.

Toxic Culture

Pros

There is a lot of diversity.

Cons

Currently being forced to write positive reviews on Glassdoor by line managers. Use their values to justify how bad the culture is. For example: increasing targets and telling staff to work longer and harder to hit these new targets and saying it is in line with their value 'Get it Done'. I hind it hard to believe that forcing employees to work all hours is a good value to have. Targets have doubled in the last 6 months, but internal procedures can't keep up with the increased flow. Staff have left causing a backlog meaning it is harder to hit these targets. This shows why the staff turnover rate is so high and most employees are looking for their next move elsewhere.

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We value your input as we strive to create the best possible workplace for all our employees. We want to assure you that at Revolut, we consider our employees’ work-life balance as sacrosanct. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is a driving force, and we appreciate your acknowledgment of this aspect of our culture. We'd like to clarify that while we employ best practices suggested by Glassdoor to encourage reviews, we respect the autonomy of our employees to share their genuine experiences. We cannot and don't compel employees to provide feedback against their will. Your feedback on increased targets is duly noted. We believe in transparency and open communication. The recent adjustment reflects our “Get it Done” value and past historical performances. We push when we see potential, always making sure that targets are realistically achievable for every seller in their given timeframe. As we continuously strive to improve, your insights are invaluable. We understand the importance of a supportive and collaborative culture, and we're dedicated to making positive changes. We encourage you to reach out to a supervisor to discuss any specific concerns you may have, as we are committed to fostering an environment where every employee feels heard. Best regards, Maxime Chareton - Head of Sales - Europe

Pros

Strong focus on execution, and quantity over quality

Cons

Poor compensation - very learn business that keeps its cash for product promotions (referral bonuses) rather than employee compensation and irregular share bonus scheme (shares are still on paper). Like many mid-sized company suffers from cons of both a smaller company (unclear strategy beyond copying the big companies - "company X is doing this, company Y is doing that", many inexperienced middle managers (early joiners) who love to 'flex' by asserting goals that do not have a clear strategy behind them) as well as those of a large company (lots of red tape due to wanting to be a bank, insane politics). Very little product leadership and high engineering staff turnover makes it impossible to keep a steady roadmap. You risk learning bad product habits that should not be transferred beyond this company. Most people have not come from a tech background, but rather banking or consulting, carrying over the exact same culture.

Thank you for your review. Revolut is hugely ambitious, has come a long way quickly and learned a lot on the way. Sometimes our ambition has meant we've tried to go too fast but we listen to our people and try to ensure that all voices are heard and that we are working smartly not just hard and that everyone can get a reasonable balance between work and the rest of life. We draw talent from many backgrounds - tech, financial services and elsewhere - and we try to ensure that we learn from the best experience and success stories. We want to be a place where our talented people can learn, grow and be successful and we know our drive and dynamism is what makes Revolut a great place to be for many people. We appreciate all that you do, and wish you the best.
