Pros

Salary Team (if you are lucky) Home office stuff

Cons

Oh boy, where do I start. I have never in my professional carreer (10 years so far) seen a toxic enviornment like this. 1st - THEY DON'T CARE about you. Doesn't matter whether you've been in the company for 3 months or 2 years, a bad quarter means that you're out of business, no questions. 2nd - Moving to another deparments is extremely difficult, almost impossible 3rd - Constant changes in priorities, goals, methodologies, make it almost imposible to focus on doing your job 4rd - The possition is just crowded. There are too many AEs in Revolut (just check linkedin) going for the same businesses, which makes it an extremely competitive enviornment and you basically will depend on your contacts and good luck. Please, please let this be the signal that you were looking for. Don't let yourself be seduced by the money they pay, they are paying you for the stress that they will put you through. It is not worth it. If you have another offer, just take it. If you don't have anything and you need the money, just leave before they burn you out too.

Pros

Salaries are high, annual leave allowance is good. Parental leave policy looks attractive (but employees tend to be young, single).

Cons

Toxic culture, everything is very transactional and employees are very much treated like a commodity and resource rather than human beings. No consideration is given to what employees want from their career at Revolut. KPIs are wildly unattainable and often not strategic or a good indicator of a person's ability to do a job. There is zero female representation on the board. The organisation is continuously battling significant regulatory challenges and audit issues, and frequently fall below par and miss deadlines. Revolut has a 'revolving door' of employees. Churn is incredibly high and no effort is made to retain talent.

Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your experience with us. We believe that clear KPIs help ensure that we all understand our goals and how we'll get there, but we know that they aren't the only indicator of your contribution. We admire people who live our values and support their colleagues in getting stuff done. Not only that, but we’re constantly looking to ensure that we support the people who enable us to create great products and support our customers. By intently listening to our employees, we've birthed new policies, such as new performance bonus (on top of existing scheme), new promotion philosophy, Birthday Leave, hybrid working arrangement, 60-day temporary working abroad flexibility, 2 extra wellbeing days, Team Engagement budgets or RevManager Hub. Revolut is absolutely committed to equal opportunities and we are keen to increase the diversity of our workforce at all levels. We are proud to employ people of more than 80 nationalities and we have targets and programmes to improve the proportion of women in our leadership. We don't have as many women as we'd like at senior levels yet but we're working to fix that. We're sorry if you aren't yet seeing those efforts. We’ve a fast-paced culture, so we appreciate that Revolut might not be the right place for everyone - but our people achieve a huge amount and have a lot of fun. Please make sure that you’re also airing your concerns internally through the available channels. Wishing you best.

Macho toxic culture going nowhere

Pros

Ambition of the business is immense. A lot of good people "within the ranks"

Cons

Leadership continues to distrust employees and gives zero autonomy. No value given to strategy or brand at all. All tactic, no strategy. Macho, ego driven communication style prevalent across the LON team makes it feel quite toxic.

Hello, thank you for your review. You are right that Revolut has a lot of ambition and we're proud to have so many great A-players to help us deliver for our customers. Our global ambition can mean that we demand a lot - although most Revoluters thrive on our aspirational culture. We work hard too to communicate our strategy at group, country and product level. Please do get involved in our town halls and product knowledge sessions. We definitely want our Revoluters to feel positive about our culture and to feel included. Please let the people team know if you feel there are mistakes being made. Thank you for all that you do at Revolut. We wish you well.
