Pros

The NRA conference. You get to sample a lot of food and bring even more home.

Cons

The Chicago location is like being in high school. Anyone new starting there did not get a warm welcome from other departments.

This has turned into a great place to work

Pros

The people-- most of the negative reviews this company has had are from ex- employees. The company stagnated for a number of years and the skill sets and attitudes stagnated along with it. The new CEO and the turnover of a number of other strong personalities have removed the toxic cloud and re-invigorated the environment. I really enjoy the people I go to work with every day now. The place- Great location on the river steps from Oglvie and Union Stations. Offices are nice and the new ping pong table brings people from different departments together that may never have the chance to work together. New Technology- Major progress has been made on renewing all the technologies the company uses, its still ongoing, but huge progress in the last 2 years. The Business plan- With the new CEO less than a year ago came a major pivot in the direction of the business. So far it has proven to be the right plan. Very positive things happening with the business. Size- This is a small enough company where an individual can still have a major influence and direct effect on the success of the business. Every person here makes a difference.

Cons

There are still some legacy applications and processes that are waiting for their turn to be upgraded or renewed. There are a few employees that were here through the companies hard times that are kind of living in the past.

Pros

The best thing about working at Rewards Network today is that if you have ideas for how to make good things happen — and the skills and experience to back up your claim — opportunities seem huge. The key is to be able to quantify it in terms of a business goal, which is not an unreasonable expectation. In the past year, I've seen dramatic improvement in how employees speak to each other, work together, and build off each success by tackling the next big problem. There is no resting on your laurels here. Nor should there be. Working here can make you better at whatever it is you do, and that's a great thing.

Cons

There's a lot to do here, and it can be paralyzing to think of all the things that can be improved, especially on the raw technology front. But, every positive change has had a domino affect. You just need to be the type of person that perseveres and is looking for challenge every day.
