Pros

this used to be a great company, with lots of long-time employees who were focused on the customer. the benefits were great, and the corpoate headquarters was magnificent.

Cons

r&r struggled to show revenue growth as a public company. there was a lot of turnover in senior management. the company was profitable, and probably needed to go private, but certainly didn't need UCS. after the merger, everything went downhill

Pros

The only nice thing about working for Reynolds is the building itself. It's clean and the no-smoking policy is great. (Dayton, OH)

Cons

You will make about 65% of the national average for your career field and it's not just me. I have talked with enough people to know that this is a widespread deal. Pre-Director level jobs at Reynolds don't pay crap. Employee morale of course sucks because of this. Working with people that piss and moan a lot sucks. Recognition?! What's that? They just totally cut back tuition benefits so that it won't come close to covering your costs and that's if they would even approve it, which they won't.

Pros

If you cannot find a job anywhere else. You miss being a grunt in the Army, and need somebody to micromanage every second of your day. You don't mind policies and procedures that change daily.

Cons

Before Reynolds and Reynolds was bought by UCS, it was a decent place to work. UCS has turned it into a sweat shop. If you have any education/certifications/self-esteem, the only reason to work there is that nobody else will hire you. Brockman has ruined a once great company. His customer base is going to be so small in another year that he will have another 35% reduction of employees. There is no form of job security at R&R anymore.
