Salary is way below industry standards, and within the company there is a huge disparity. Promotions and raises are incredibly hard to come by, they are not transparent and seem to be awarded to those who have some magical 'in' that the rest of us are excluded from. Rho also used to be more lenient with working from home flexibility, but recently have been insisting people come into the office. I had an agreement to work from home a certain number of days a week, and I was asked (told) to come in more frequently. Then when I needed to work from home a little extra for a couple of weeks due to a family issue, I was chewed out for that, where as that used to never be a problem. Due to the flat company structure, sometimes it is really hard to know who to go to for guidance and who you should be providing guidance to.

The promotion process is not fair or transparent. It redefines "changing the goalposts". There is also a cult-like culture which drives many people crazy. * Management seems to think that leadership can be learned from reading the Harvard Business Review. * Pay is lower than competing CROs * Part-time programmers are being forced to resign
