Pros

Very professional and excellent co-workers and management. Made Inc 500 list twice, Deloitte Fast 500 list, won Governor's Energy Efficiency Award, #1 Fastest-growing Company in Kansas City for 2 years and finalist for Best Company to Work For in Kansas City. Averaged 94% growth/year through its inception. 2014 already has seen 100% growth. Clear vision and growth plan. Implementation statistics show 20-30% reduction is motor vehicle crashes where Rhythm Engineering technology is installed. The growth plan is very aggressive and you have to bring your "A" game every day. Very little micromanagement.

Cons

I think that the vision can be shared more often so that all employees can buy in. The founder seems to know where he is going but sometimes I feel that some employees are lost in the mad scramble coping up with growth.

Pros

People are given responsibility and held accountable. No micro-management. I own the part of technology I get to create. I am not a code monkey crunching lines of code that gets hidden in a huge enterprise software/system. The technology makes a positive difference in the world by synchronizing traffic lights and improving the safety and travel time of motorists. What a cool thing to do! In the 6 years that I've worked here, I have received several significant pay raises. No one is expected to work long hours. I think the leaders care about the people. I really enjoyed the cool company trips to Cancun and Bahamas. I LOVE this place and what I do.

Cons

Mediocrity is not tolerated, if you consider that a con. Rightly so, since what we do is mission critical to the safety of motorists in the field. There is very little tolerance to mistakes.

You get paid for some work you do. We get most work accomplished when management is out at seminars.

Cons

Pay/benefits used to be ok. Not anymore. Only those that threaten to quit might get raises.
