Pros

PTO is plentiful, plus a week off between Christmas and new years. Depending on what building you work in, close to Rice Village and Bellaire area businesses.

Cons

Commute - unless you live inside the 610 loop the commute can be pretty bad I live about 18 miles away and getting off at rush hour between (4pm-6pm) the traffic is so horrible in this area that it typically takes over an hour to get home. Many days it takes about 1 1/2 hours to get home and if there's an accident or something, expect a 2 hour commute. The work itself in the clerical positions can be pretty tedious and mind numbing not because it's challenging, because it's NOT challenging at all. I really wish they offered options to work from home some days, especially considering the commute. I've worked for other employers that gave this option and it's very helpful. When you're in a back office position where you're pretty much closed off in an office all day and barely see anyone anyway, I don't understand why they won't consider offering working from home as an option. They seem to be a bit behind on the times when it comes to technology in general (at least in my department). Every office job I've had, we had an Instant Messenger system, they don't. Again, no options to work from home. They really should upgrade to VDI like many companies are doing now.
