      Pros

      Smart, dedicated people, good health benefits and 401k matching plan, generous time off and work/life balance.

      Cons

      Less than average pay and slow salary increases, poor communication from upper management in some departments, no growth opportunities until someone leaves or retires. Most employees retire at Rice.

      Pros

      This is a really bizarre policy of glassdoor. Rice's grad school program is fine although it is on a decline. The campus is quite pretty.

      Cons

      Again, glassdoor, this is dumb. You're reducing the quality of your reviews by making someone comment in order to use your site. I have no prior employment. Anyway, rice needs to start hiring more big name professors.
