Pros

This is a beautiful place to work. The people are very friendly and can really go out of the way to help you out. My boss is thoughtful and cares for those who work for her. Great opportunities for development and terrific benefits.

Cons

In our office the people are very nice but tend to be cliquish. You really know your place in the hierarchy and are usually given the respect that your position carries.

Houston is cheap so the payment for a grad student here will actually make your life easier than your counterparts in other US cities. There is no fixed schedule so you can devote your free time to other activities.

Cons

You don't know if you are a student or an employee and this doesn't feel good at all. But it's like with all grad schools.
