      The benefits working for a non-profit place like Rice U are great; but their pays for some positions are below the market average. Good for people who are ready to retire.

      pro: it was a job.

      Cons

      I was bullied and harassed by a coworker, reported it several times for an entire year, HR "investigated" the situation and refused to take any action to stop this harassment. Management was spineless, awful and overbearing. The workload was way too much because tasks that were assigned to a coworker who was incompetent, but manager refused to teach them to do their job and instead reassigned the tasks to me.
